One of Cebu's most celebrated cultural highlights is the Sinulog Festival, a vibrant and colorful celebration held every January. The festival pays homage to the Santo Niño (Child Jesus) with lively street dancing, parades, and religious ceremonies, bringing together locals and visitors in an atmosphere of joy and devotion.

The most colorful and the grandest event is the Grand Street Parade which is usually on the third Sunday of January, usually starting at 8 or 9 in the morning. This is a colorful affair where performers wear beautiful costumes, dance to the beat of the music as they move around the streets of Cebu City.


The night is also not left out as the day’s celebration ends with a pyromusical display, which features the display of fireworks at night. However, the fun does not end there, as there are several events that are held in the weeks prior to the main event, including cultural shows, street fairs and so much more, making Sinulog a week-long affair.
